Five more A&Ms and one sickly brown. Up to 7 A&Ms and 12 browns but still have some eggs which can stay another day or so.

Well the sickly brown didn't make it. It's for the best. He spent most of the day upside down.

I guess I miscounted. I think the final total is 10 browns and 7 A&Ms. All the rest seem very healthy. Eating, drinking and sleeping. Dunno what I'm going to do with so many. I did not expect such a high hatch rate.
a couple days late, a button popped out of my last 3 eggs. i was worried that none were gonna make it, because they were all a little weird shaped. we'll see if any more show up today!

Had two more A&Ms hatch yesterday out of the 3 remaining eggs that passed the float test. I float tested the third again yesterday and it was still wiggling away so I've left it for another day.
This brings my total for this hatch to 9 A&Ms and 10 browns. I just counted all the birds I have and realized I could be on Hoarders. 47! Good thing most of these are either going to be re-homed with friends or dinner. I couldn't keep up with the eggs if I kept that many!
Got a good look at my 3-and-a-half-week-olds yesterday and there are 4 females and 3 males there. These 4 females will be added to my current colony when they are big enough. That will bring my layer count up to 12 females with 3 males. I have started putting them outside beside the main pen on sunny days so they can all get used to seeing each other.

Well the last one hatched so it came out an even 20 total of 10 A&Ms and 10 browns. The last A&M doesn't seem all that healthy but I'm keeping the final three separate from the others for a few days until they are a bit larger and able to compete with their hatch-mates for resources. Hoping the extra time in a quieter brooder gets these last three to catch up quickly so they don't lag too far behind. It's kind of a pain when you have a hatch so spread out like this (4 whole days apart!).
