breed and sex help for completely unidentified chicken baby

Two weeks and a day ago my husband and I bought three little chicks from a young girl who accepted quickly that she wasn't ready to care for chickens. She had some breed guesses and said they should all lay green eggs ... but her info seemed jumbled and may not be reliable. I'll make a separate post for each chick since I notice some confusion on posts with multiple chicks. I had one such post but I feel like I'll have better luck this way. Thanks for your help.

This is Uncle Virginia. He was 2 weeks when we got him and he had the least big kid feathers at the time, just a few curly wing tip ones. The girl we got them from said he was a "frizzle" and that was his breed. He was rumpless on his cute little chipmunk butt. His legs have had a little bit of feathers since we got him. He was also the smallest and we thought he was a girl. He's the first to cheep loudly if they get separated (whether he's apart from the other two or one of them is away.) He became Uncle Virginia about a week ago when his comb got so much bigger than the others' and I noticed his legs were thicker. Someone told me that cockerels get their real feathers later than females and that's when we started referring to him as a male. Today when I was staring at the chicks in a big glass tank (screen top) he jumped in front of the other two and made himself look big. In the last couple of days he's started to get what look like teensy tail feathers and his comb has become very red. Who thinks he's a boy? Who has guesses at what he might be or be made up of?

I'm thinking roo, but some pullets get combs early. He is frizzled, but that isn't the breed. He is likely a cross. He is a cutie!

Thanks! I think he's precious! I didn't bother explaining to the girl that frizzle isn't a breed, but a trait. I started too and she seemed confused. We'll keep him even if he's a rooster so I'm really curious about his breed.

I'm glad you're keeping him! He seems to be really friendly, and who doesn't love a frizzle?

Not at 4 weeks.
Boy w/o a doubt. Mix breed, frizzle is just a gene (like a buff hen is not a 'buff' breed of chicken, but she could be a buff Orpington, buff rock, etc)

Uncle Virginia is looking rough at 5 weeks. He's the least friendly. That's good, right? Any opinions?

I still don't have any idea what this little guy is. I'm so excited to find out what he's going to be like and act like. I just want to skip ahead to the last page and found out what he is.

This little guy has more and more black feathers every day but he's still rumpled. Still no clue what breed(s) he is.

I told my phone to say 'rumpless' not rumpled. Mean ole phone.
