worming quail

Probably just adjusting to the feed. It should be a relatively firm ball of poop but not hard. My wire cages are 1/2" mesh and the bigger birds poop doesnt fall through they push it through by walking over it.

Thanks so much! That's exactly what the poop looks like. Relief is sweet, LOL.

Hi Kathy could you give a brief summary on how you prep the sample and what you use as a solution?
I'm getting a microscope for christmas and I'm excited to try this out!
My scope is still in the box, lol, haven't tried anything with it yet, so can't be of help.

Has anyone ever use Prohibit levamisole on their quail before. Had it suggested to me but I can't find any info. Thanks.

Just wanting to know if it is safe. I have chickens, turkeys, & quail. They are all in seperate spaces, but if I could worm everyone with the same stuff it would sure make things way easier & cheaper. But I dont want to risk killing any to save a buck & a little time.

I'm not 100% positive, but I think it's probably safe to use if dosed correctly. Some wormers, like moxidectin, don't have much of a safety margin. I'll see what my vet drug books say.
