Well my hen has been tore up from my rooster, I put veterycin on her and a saddle pad to help keep dirt away and keep her friend from pecking at her wounds, but she has been seperated from the flock. Now my father and I removed my rooster's spurs for the first time and my father gripped to tight and took off not only the cap, but half of the soft part under neith. Will he be ok? I know my hen will. Picks of her wounds soon

As long as the bleeding stopped, he should be fine. He will need to keep his feet clean and dry for at least a week until the stubs start really healing.

he should be separated too until the spurs harden up. 3- days or so. if it is bleeding too much you can try some corn starch. he got her pretty good huh?

Looks just like one of my hens a few years back. I spritzed mine with Blukote, popped a fleece saddle on her and left her in with the flock. The saddle covered the wound completely, and made a better bandage than I could have ever made using gauze and vet wrap. I just checked my girl about every other day and spritzed her with more Blukote as needed. I changed the saddle when it got soiled or damp.

Yes he did. Idk what else to do, but remove them. The hens were pecking at the stubs from the bleeding so I moved him and placed him else where for the night. Will I beable to put him back in the morning? I don't know if the bleeding has stopped or not. I may go check on him in a little while and see if the bleeding has stopped.

Yeah, you need to keep an eye on the bleeding. That's going to be the biggest risk to him at this point.
