Hi my fellow greeters!

I love greeting people but I am wondering how do you get a greeter award? Is there a certain amount of posts you have to do?

Thanks!

Michael, etc. a greeter award is the small "patch?" under the avatar, like the one I have. I believe BYC wants to see that you have numerous posts, over a good length of time. Posts that are more than "Hi welcome to BYC". but, informative and kind spirited.
Michael everything you do is

maybe they just want to see more longevity . Lots of people just put in as little as possible to get their post total up, or use just stock phrases over and over and over again, without paying attention to the new members needs.

Some just put in the work till they get the greeter award and then quit. As I understand it, that can be grounds to have the award rescinded.

I love the greetings part but, my energy comes and goes. Sometimes I have to skip days - then when I am feeling better I tend to put in all nighters. New members is where the action is, a lot of threads quiet down at parts of the year (like now) when there is so much outdoor work to do but new members come each and every day.

Good luck to all of you. Several of you deserve the greeter award, I am not sure how often awards are given out but, your first notice will appear under your avatar and it's worth bragging about.

Thanks for answering my question. This was the first time that anyone had mentioned on any of the threads I've read, and I was just curious what it was. For what it's worth, I think you deserve it.
