    TSC doesn't label chicks correctly

So I bought a bunch of chickens from TSC and I began researching the breeds only to find that pictures online look nothing like what I bought. Can anyone help me identify these breeds? Comb Type: Pea Color: Black and white (Feathers coming in black) Leg Color: Black with pink feet...

    What breed is she?

Hi, so I bought some assorted blue-egging pullets and ended up with four Ameraucanas, two of witch are cockerels. This pullet is the only one without a beard so I'm assuming she's an Easter Egger. Can anyone confirm this?

    Identification?

A group of 4 of these recently showed up at the pond where I’ve been watching a bunch of mallard type duck families grow this season. Their bodies and beaks are very small/short in comparison to the mallards and there appears to be some red either in their eyes or immediately surrounding them...

Do Toulouse geese come in more than one color?

I ordered 4 female goslings from Purely Poultry, 2 Buffs and 2 Toulouse. They are now 6 weeks old, beautiful healthy birds, but the one supposed Toulouse looks nothing like the other, and I’m pretty sure she may be a he. Do Toulouse geese come in more than one color? She also has blue eyes which...

Guessing game baby chicks 4 breeds

We had some visitors bring us a gift of 8 baby chicks to add to our flock, looks like 4 different breeds. They got them at tractor supply where they were told they are all female (but also said the worker picked them out by wing shape, so I guess we'll see in several weeks! Oh well, a...

    Mystery Chick :)

These are photos of the mystery chick I received on May 14 from McMurray Hatchery. It has me stumped. I've included a couple of photos from the first week, and some less informative photos from yesterday - it is a busy chick. No feathering on legs. Legs are a chocolate brown. Coloring is a...

Not looking like a salmon faverolles chick ?

Hi, chicken ID experts! My new chicken friend recently got a dozen pullet chicks from our local hatchery. I took 3 off her hands. The light ones were supposed to Faverolles, but they all have 4 toes and I don’t see feathered legs or muff action on mine. This chick pictured is 18 days old. The...

Need help to Identify this breed

Hello, I got these chickens from someone on a farm who told me they were blue laced red Wyandotte’s and so far I don’t see any red. I still think they are gorgeous obviously, but would love to know what breed I’ve actually gotten. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Mystery chick from a random assortment of hatching eggs

Hello All! I am new to this forum and would love some help identifying/gendering this chick that hatched six weeks ago from a random assortment from Meyer hatchery. I suspect he is a cochin, given the fluffy feet and tail feathers, but I have never seen a full-sized cochin with this mottled...

Sold as a black leghorn, but clearly isn’t!

This pullet (named Craig) was bought at TSC as a black leghorn. She’s about 15-17 weeks old. Single comb, very small, black legs with 4 toes, feathered legs and partially feathered feet. Relatively lean build. Any ideas? Pretty timid so hard to get pics of. Thanks!

What types of chickens are these?

Hi all! I have been scouring the web to figure out what kinds of chickens these are. Your input is very appreciated! The first 2 are the same chicken. He has 5 toes but I think to that is a genetic defect. All were purchased from hatcheries and a few are straight run.

    Duckling identification help

I think, from all my searching, that I have three blue swedish, one black swedish(possibly 2), possibly one cayuga and I'm not sure for the last one; maybe a Welch harlequin or maybe she's also a blue? They're all 6 days old today. I attached a couple of pictures. I hope everyone can see them...

Hatched bielefelders and CLB and cant tell a difference?

We ended up with 20/23 Legbars and Bielefelders. I notice the white/yellow dot on top of heads of the cockerels but cant tell the two different breeds apart. Can someone tell me the difference when 3 days old? They all look the same to me. Blurry colors with light color dot on top of head.

    A Real Head Scratcher

Hello everyone! I need help identifying this breed. They are six weeks old. My best guess is Cream Legbar Cockerels. Due to the head tuft and barring. But their shanks are grey with very slight feathering. I got them from an assortment of rare breeds by Meyer Hatchery. CL cockerel? Or another...

    Breed ID; listed as BCM

This girl is 6-8 months old. She does not appear to lay eggs yet. She was sold to me from a breeder, but the breeder didn’t hatch her. I think she is from the breeder’s gorgeous BCM rooster, though. She wasn’t expensive, and I don’t care what she is, but I’m not buying the BCM. Any ideas? She...
