    I haven’t seen copper hackles with splash Marans before. Does anyone have any themselves and since this color isn’t recognized, is it something breeders are wanting or are we focusing on solid splash with less coppering??

    I’m trying to decide which cross would produce a more desirable chicken or EGG color….i have a splash Marans Roo to cross with a CCL ?? Does this produce an autosexing chick?. The other option for me is crossing my Welsummers Roo with the CCL - I have done this and the chick is not a hen laying...

    Wheaton/Splash Marans cross

    hi all! Curious what I will get with a Wheaton marans rooster over Splash marans hen. I also have golden cuckoo marans and FBCM marans hens. Will introduce FBCM rooster and hens in about a month. I know the BBS chart but not sure where Wheaton or cuckoo fit into it. Thanks in advance!
