sudden death

mom sat over these eggs for 21 days and we had the most beautiful chicks... today the chicks were 2 months of age and all of a sudden, one was found dead in the morning. Yeseday, there were another chick died.... No signs of illness whatsoever. How can they die all of a sudden?
