It is kind of cruel.

But I don't agree with Ron Paul's idea of legalizing some drugs. Yes, MOST people wouldn't rush out to get high the minute it was legal, which is his primary argument. But let's face it, a few would. And while under influence, those few would/could hurt others.

They're using an awful lot of money trying to stop soft drugs though. Think of the tax they could get from selling it legally, could be used to help addicts...
But yes, I agree with you about them hurting other people. It seems we can't win!

This is true, but there is a chance of people using more of it when it would be so much easier to get it and get away with it. I think that the system our country has for drugs is imperfect, but really, it's not going to get any better. This is the best we can do.
