) so i decided to compramise. im thinking about getting a youngish horse that has been trained awhile ago and just needs a refresher. i really like wild mustangs, morgans, friesians, and gypsy vanners. wat do u guys think?

*but to this thread LOL*

2nd, i would go with a fully trained horse, and first do horse riding lessons if you dunno how to ride, or havent in a while, and it depends on what you wanna ride, vanners and friesians are great english saddled horses, morgans, i dunno, the mustangs might be to much of a handful for newbies.

It mostly depends on your experience.

How long have you been riding?

Wow, you're from Hudson? I'm not that far from there!

Don't do it unless you're experienced. You can, however, get a professional to help you. But what I do recommend is getting an experienced, fully trained horse that is friendly and ready for you to do whatever you want with. :3 Hope this helps.

wow! you guys are fast. i have been riding about 3 years. i ride both english and western (mostly western ). im friends with trainers, most of my neighbers have horses. and very close family friends own a boarding stables. im told i am very cofident on horses and they trust me on their more crazier ones. and im helping a friend refresh a horse right now

I would still recommend getting one with experience, but you seem to have some good experience yourself! You also have a lot of available help, which is good. You can easily get a well-trained horse of any of those breeds, even a mustang, online, I'd say.

Good luck!

haha wat breed should i get? i love how elegent friesians are but their so expensive. the first horse i ever rode was a morgan and i loved him so much, but morgans arent very tall. i love draft breeds but i want to learn how to jump. i was thinking about a moresian a cross between morgan and friesian but those arnt common. vanners are pretty short too. i guess i want something over 15 hands. i love a color that would pop out in the crowd
