well rode in a canter. that was scary *hidez* but i must do it again.. oh, taking english lesson with another trainer AND i might get a english saddle from her!
You'll get used to it. Seriously, cantering is very useful for riding, not to mention fairly fun once you get it under control.

hehe i am gonna move barrels around and try some more tonight, because she is a x barrel horse i dont want to do any barrel racing yet because she is all about speed XD

Cool.

Sounds like she's gettin better all the time.
Haley has only been being bad with the bridle the last couple of times I've tacked her up, I had gotten her to just take the bit. Problem with that is, whens he raises her head up, I can't reach her poll.

Other than that she's great, except she bucks, but not hard, it kinda hurts a little, but it happens.

I can completely tack her up all by myself now!

Before I'd always have to have people help me, which was a bit embarrassing, but I can do it all myself. I take her riding every day I can, like today, I'll probably head out, and I may stay out for 4 hours. I'm kinda checking out the road/trail my 4-H club is going to be going on on the 29th. And It's right down the road from my house, I just gotta saddle up and get going. Except for the dogs, there are some HUGE German Sheperd(SP?) type dogs on the way.

Hey all! It's been awhile and I have missed you! I'll post the MANY horsie updates when I get my computer back. ( forgot it at trainers after a show!)
Anyhow, how have you guys been?

Ah, I took these a while ago and I thought you guys would like to see this. The red dun is Molly, the mare I lease, and the bay/seal brown critter is Jeeves, a gelding who shares a pasture with her.

And this last one here is Shadow:

I got new horse! She's a gorgeous sorrel Foxtrotter mare. When we got her she had shoes on and her feet had been trimmed at the wrong angles and her shoes had grown out much too long, she walked really slow and you could tell it hurt her. She couldn't even run, she tried, but it was a failed attempt. When we got her home our trimmer couldn't come out, so we had Peter's sister come and pull her shoes, on one front foot there were holes ripping in the ends of the hoof were the nails came out, they were way past where they would have been. She also had, like, no heel either. Wednesday morning our trimmer came out and trimmed her hooves, she's now very happy and she is loving running all over her pasture. She's a real spunky girl, very vocal. Her registered name is Rawhide's Raggedy Ann.
