He's the dapple grey. Isn't he beautiful??

Dusty has hoof crack. I feel SO bad that I didn't catch the problem before it flared up. The vet looked him over and said he'd be ok, Dusty just needs a good trim and a visit from the farrier, which Dusty HATES!

Last week, Starfire was being so derpy that I nearly cried laughing.

So, normally, when I come into his stall with a halter and a lead, he turns to face me. That's his way of saying: "Oh, you're here! I am ready to work, then!" But no, he didn't do that this time. He was sideways to me, so I started talking to him as soon as I entered so he wouldn't spook. He looked at me and kinda raised his head from his leftover hay (he stores some of his food throughout the day because he's weird) and turned like he was coming to me. (His way of saying hi.) But, no. He ignored my presence and went to his water, which was strange, even for him. So I watched him, and he didn't even drink (you'd hear him). He just put his nose in it. I'm not even kidding. :gig
So I approached him, talking again. He turned around and around from food to water for two whole minutes before he came to me. It was pretty hilarious.

And after the ride, I was grooming him after storing my tack. I was working through his mane (his mane is super thick and reeeaaaally short.) and he started looking back at me. I was all: "Hey buddy." And pet his nose, because he likes that. But then he shows his affection by putting his head over my shoulder and trying to "eat" my shirt collar. (Kinda nibbles on it. Doesn't actually bite.)
⌒-⌒; Silly horse. Thus, why Star and I are perfect for each other.

So the stables recently aquired a Fresian who was boarded for sixty days. Yesterday he went home, but Jenna and I were talking about him while I was untacking Starfire. And this is what she said, which will now and forever be my favorite quote ever:

Jenna: "When I saw him for the first time I called my mom and told her: 'I just want to grow my hair out and put on a white dress and frolick in the fields with this horse, and poets will be there writing about our gorgeousness!'
Me: :gig :lau

Oh my goodness, she's a stellar instructor. She makes up words (EX: Snarky, strugglebus) , likes to have fun, but is also very precise about the way she wants her property to run. Everyone absolutely adores Jenna. :D

I've reached a cross-road here. I want to lease two horses right now. (I know, right? Crazy.) I want to lease Annekin, a four year old gelding, Palomino-thoroughbred. And of course, Starfire. So I'm kinda like:
