Does anyone know of some good horse tack/grooming supplies websites that I can just kinda browse around? If I do end up leasing Starfire, I want to get my own grooming kits, my own crop, etc etc

^^^^^ Hopefully I'll be leasing this gorgeous one soon. ^_^

Thanks! I'll check it out!

Can I see your horse? ^_^ Are you leasing or is he/she yours?
Hopefully I will be able to lease Starfire soon. It would be awesome if I can lease him soon. He's awesome ^_^

My horse, Dusty, is very difficult to take a picture of. He is a dapple grey Quarter Horse/Arabian mix, and very, very not still! He is my horse, he lives at our ranch and I love him to pieces like you love your Starfire :)
I hope you can lease Starfire soon! He is beautiful! What breed is he? Thoroughbred? Quarter Horse?

Actually, Starfire is a Rocky Mountain Horse cross-breed, and he will even gait for his semi-old age! ( He's 27, and acts like he's 5. xD He's always so happy lol. He gets over-excited easily, which is why he's only available to middle-class riders.) ^_^ He's awesome, and he's so pretty. He's fun to work with, as I've worked with him for about 3 years or so.

I made a short video today on why I should be able to lease him and sent it to my mom. I hope it all goes well.

Wow, (s)he's gorgeous!!! :D

Starfire was actually the 2nd horse I ever rode. The first was a horse called Red Wind Boomer. Red Wind was grumpy, but gentle. He was also kinda slow and didn't want to work. So my instructor moved me up to Starfire, and in all honesty we were perfect for each other. But after awhile, I had to leave because my previous instructor was cruel, and didn't approve of a relationship between horse and rider. So I left for quite some time.
I returned about three years later to find there was a new instructor (the old one was arrested for stealing) named Jenna. She was super nice and amazingly awesome. I told her about Starfire and I's history, and sure enough, she put me back on Starfire. I knew he remembered me, and I'm trying to work back up that bond that we had before. I know a ton of other people ride him because he's a lesson horse, but Jenna told me and only me that Starfire was up for lease.

So, if all goes according to my plan and my mother lets me, when I lease him, this is what a Bannon Woods full lease does: I will be the ONLY one that rides him WHENEVER I WANT, I can buy him new stuff (new halter, new lead, grooming kit, etc etc) and of course I have to work in his stall too, but of course that's part of it. He will be mine and I will be happy. ^_^

He, and his name is Stewball.

Wow, that's really cool! I hope your mom will let you, or she'll have to answer to us!! :P

He's gorgeous!

Haha, yes! xD I made a video and sent it to her that was pretty convincing, so I hope we AT LEAST have a conversation about it and she won't just be like NO.

I got denied, at least for now... I'm a little mad, but my mom and I had a long, thorough conversation.

1) She would love to say yes, but she didn't see enough commitment from me.
2) I don't work around the house as much as I could (I work at Bannon already!!! D': )
3) The cost. (I have to agree, he's pretty expensive for a full lease but it will be so worth it...). We're a lil short on money so she doesn't know if we can afford it. She is going to speak to my instructor about this.
4) She's concerned about how old he is and how much longer he'll be around. (Star's not THAT old, and he still acts like he's fricking 5. Still jumps, and can still gait.) She'll also talk to Jenna (my instructor) to see if there's a horse that's more viable for me. (Which I really don't think there is...)
5) She wants to see more commitment to the sport overall.

I'm a bit frustrated, but she's right. So. :/
