Well, this horse I ride (Boomer, pure Morgan gelding..14 y.o?) was wanting to canter, so sure. Cantered over some poles...that's when it got nasty. I lost my stirrup and he was trotting 100 mph and closing in on the fence, I'm amazed I survived. xD
I slid half way and was hanging on to the saddle and his neck, it all happened so fast I don't really remember what position I was in, but I do recollect seeing the arena fence zooming by and his flying hooves by my head! I was trying hard to hang on and couldn't have much longer. Thankfully, I think he realized I was falling off. So he stopped and I slid to the ground and landed on my butt.
Aside from a ripped finger nail I got out ok! That's the second fall this week.
My first fall was on an arab mare named Rose. Sheesh! They had an arena full of people who had never been on a horse and were under twelve (Except for a couple girls and me). There was about 14 people. INSANE! I was really nervous, if a horse spooked and got the others spooked it would have been a freakin bloody mess. I'm glad I don't ride at that stable, it was for a 4-H thing, that's why I was there at all. Well, she spooked and shot one way while I shot the other way and landed hard on my butt...? I don't know where I landed.
But I just got on again, she was fine. Whew. Two falls in one week. I think this sums up this week!
Glad you're alright.
Morgans, I tell you, are pure evil!
My mom had one and the day he tested him out he was nice, the next when he was purchased he was a complete jerk and remained that way. Ironically, his name was Good Boy.
Morabs on the other hand, are amazing. <3
