miss heny,
Have you considered getting a rescue? Many are perfectly good horses whose owners just can't afford them anymore.
If Diamon's no longer an option, you might want to look into it.

I know how it feels, believe it or not. 2 years ago, the people I lease from rescued a gelding named Butter, and he was trained well, etc, and she said I could have him once they determined he was okay with a couple of vet checks...! I was SO thrilled. My parents even okayed it. But, it turned out poor Butter had a nerve condition that caused him so much pain that he couldn't be ridden unless they cut his nerves every once in a while. They said they didn't want to do that, obviously, and now Butter's retired at a farm in MN. I was totally devastated, even though that was best for him.

That disappointment totally stinks. D: But, who knows, you may be able to change this lady's point of view. Maybe ask your instructor if you can volunteer and help her with her horses. I did that for 2 years, and it taught me a ton. I really would love to do it again! It'll give you experience and keep you around the horses. Keep up your riding, too, not that that's an issue! I know that even if Diamond doesn't work out, another horse and another opportunity will come around.

i have to keep on working with diamond because i am training her and bringing her back to speed, she was a rescue horse, and is still gaining weight, and i am the only one that was whiling to do it, and the owner says that i am the only one aloud to use her till she is back to shape

ya, i know i am on, i just, gah.

It's good that you can still work with her.
