I think girls should be judged a little less for what they look like....
But then again guys are very visual, I guess you can't blame them that much.
However, girls could be a little more considerate.
I had an interesting couple of days...
The good news: A few days ago, my rescue filly, now named Dazzler, arrived! Yesterday, I finally managed to catch her. xD (Sweet feed: Secret Weapon)
I haven't uploaded pictures here since the change, so this could take a few tries xD
It's barely been a week, and she's already gaining weight!
She's a 2 year old, non-registered Quarter Horse filly. I'm absurdly excited about raising and training her!
Now the bad news. Well, only kinda bad. I was out at the neighbor's barn visiting "my" horses, and giving my brother a riding lesson. Rambo, the 20 year old QH gelding started acting a but funky, so I got on him and started riding him around. As we started going down a somewhat steep hill, he decided to start bucking. >:C As we were on a hill, bareback, and I'm rather out of shape, I became well acquainted with the ground. I twisted my ankle, and the rope pulling out of my hand gave me some serious rope burn, and skinned off the top layer in three spots >_o
Well, I always say: It's not IF you're going to take a fall, it's WHEN! XD I guess this fills my fall quota for a while, right? .... right?
Good thing I wasn't planning on doing any serious work with Dazzler any time soon! Just taking her out, handling her, and getting to know her.
Bah! On a separate note, I'm writing a short story involving horses. Won't be able to post it here until after I've finished it and submitted it to journals and contests, but I'll probably post it after!
