well, Diamond is becoming "fat and sassy" AKA she is feeling better, and show it! i tried to do some ground work with her, and get her into a trot, and she bucked 0-e i am STILL sore after that, and it doesnt help that she tried to drag me across the county when i try to remove her from the grass.

You need a what?


lol Dez is definitely fat and sassy, he's got this whole I-don't-like-people-don't-touch-me thing going on now.

Saddles freak him out, bridles freak him out, lead ropes freak him out, brushes are terrifying foreign objects, he's buddy sour, catching him means running around all over the pasture until were're both outta breath, he doesn't want to be ridden, he doesn't like being ridden, he doesn't like being touched, I'm some sorta horrifying scary monster, he doesn't listen to bits, he knows he can throw people off, he knows he can resist bareback and get his way otherwise you'll fall off, and I could go on..

ya, well here is a few helpful tips, when he tries to buck, turn him to your boot, let him "check out" the bridle, saddle all the stuff he is unsure about, on catching, i dunno XD, if he doesnt listen to the bit use a hackmore (SP).


Diamond, oh dear diamond, has this habit to go on the RIGHT side of the round pen, and jam my leg into it to get me off, i am working on breaking her habit on that, and when it is near food time and you are riding her, well she tries to snap at the foot, and goes super slow, working on the snapping at the foot -_- good thing i ALWAYS ride with a pair of boots, unlike another girl i know that takes lessons who rides with a pair of tennis shoes.

I would too, but the thing is, if I were to hit even, even lightly and for his won good, it would scare him to pieces and I probably couldn't get near him. Today, when I was laying down in the barn with Duce, he came over and started lipping my fingers, i had to flick him lightly before he bit one of my fingers off and you would have thought from the way he acted that i had slapped his nose with everything I had in me. Which, of course I didn't.

I also don't have anybody to help me..and I have no clue where I should go from here.

hmm :/ maybe ask around on BYH? backyardherds *i think i spelled that right* they might know what to do, and serch around, maybe go to horse&rider.com *SP?* it had a awesome magezene (SP) and they have top horse trainers helping use "newbies" *dont kill me!* with horses that have probs, and they even have a Natural horseman that can help you get him over that. just a few ideas

well, working on also training diamonds to do barrels too, which is gonna be fun since i never done barrels before that, but good thing my trainer is a Ex-barrel racer

and, i dont want ot hear that "you shouldnt but a green rider with a green horse" yada yada yada, sometimes its for the best, and right now, Diamond has "claimed" me as her owner, and she doesnt listen to really any one but me, we have bonded, we both need some one to lean on, to heal together. we both had a hard life for a while, i lost my pet chickens, and then now, my cat, she is helping me get thro it, even tho it is hard since i still sometimes start to look for Luke *the cats name* when i go outside, then it hits me like a cold bucket of water he is not there.

IDK..I'd much rather have somebody in person, you know? It's just me. I'm not that terrible of a rider, but I'm definitely not a pro. Nowhere near it. lol But Dez has kinda burned out my confidence. :/
