The chiropractic work is really cool. My mom (she's an equine vet) was taking a course but she missed a session and didn't get her certification. What she has shown me is awesome though. The professionals are really good.

All I know is that the person is coming, but they have to have so many people guaranteed to be coming so it's worth their while, and their charging I think $30 per horse. I hope it might do her some good.

Me on our new mare Ann. She's heavy in the mouth, and responds kinda slow. I think it's just because of not being ridden in a while. We've got a short shank low port curb bit on her, they're supposed to work well with Foxtrotters.

What was Ann used for before you got her? Was she ridden as a traditional MFT? Taught to gait? A lot them at ridden with heavy contact on the bit. If so look up some MFT under saddle on YouTube. Hope this helps.

That's the problem, I really don't know. We got a hold of the original owner, and he wouldn't tell us much, was convinced that it was just some junk horse with another horse's papers. Hadn't even seen a picture of her.

The people we got her from new basically zero and couldn't ride her, the guy they got her from said she was this great wonderful horse that could do everything..but he'd only had her for maybe a month? Because the coggins was from a horse sale. Don't know who's all had her in 12 years before then.

I've ridden her a little bit, and like I said, her mouth is VERY heavy, and we have a short shank low port curb on her, same as for my TWH mare who responds very well to it, although she's neck reined.

What state do you live in? Can you find any MFT people near you? Maye Ride the Glide....Got Gait....I do...

Try to contact the National MFT Association and ask if they have any breeders or members in your area. Worth a try.

This is a couple of shot of a MFT at a show doing a foxtrot.

Oh wow. One of my friends was at a rodeo with her horse tonight, she was just trotting with some other, they heard a loud pop and he fell on top of her, took eight men to roll him over. Somebody there had some bute? I'm not sure how you spell it but it's an equine pain-reliever type thing, well she accidentally gave him 12 grams, which is a big overdose, but vet said it won't kill him. That's not nearly the problem. He was favoring a leg and they took him up to a vet in a bigger city a couple of hours away, his front hip is broken, there's nothing they can do for him, and he has to be put down. She's had bad luck with horses, she had a horse once who put her in the hospital for, quite a while, and various other bad things with horses she's had. Cash I think is the best horse she's ever had.

That's awful. I'm sorry.
My riding teacher hasn't been very lucky either. Her mini horse and long-time mare had to be put down.
