I love my rooster, Ivory.
He's just SO funny! Such a 'character; you might say.
I was just letting him scratch around outside of the fenced run area and he was so happy to be out and about. He was clucking away like I've never really heard him before, and he was doing his adorable little rooster dance around me and following me everywhere and whenever he found a tasty treat or something on the ground, he would chatter away in pure joy as he picked it up and dropped it continuously to get my attention it until I walked over to look at it.
Then when I walked over to his newly found treasure, he would look up at my with his gold, intelligent eyes and cluck happily whenever I said, "Aw, good boy, Ivory!" (in my slightly embarrassing baby-voice tone, of course.
).
He also explored the tree house. He found a piece of plastic on the ground, which he kept trying to eat until I took it away (I didn't think plastic would be too good for him if he ate it...
) and tossed it up onto the tree house to keep it away from him. Then, when I had forgotten about it, I put him onto the tree house (which is really low and big so it's safe) and he clucked happily and scratched around in it. And almost immediately after I put him up there, he went straight over to the piece of plastic I had just recently tossed up there to hide from him!
He's so smart because he managed to find it that quickly! And I had to take it away from him again.
Whoever said chickens are more entertaining than TV...was 100% right!
