Southern or Northern WA?

I lived in the San Fransisco area and it was foggy and chilly a lot...But it got pretty hot during the summer.

So, let me get this straight... California's the one where LA is, isn't it? Hm. Interesting learning about US weather. I already know Michigan is permanently covered in cloud. What else?

Lol. CDalifornia has a HUGEEE variety of weather types. the southern part is a big desert, while other areas are snowy mountain ranges great for sking and snowboarding.

Michigan's weather varies. In the winter it's nasty and cold, getting so snowing you can't really do a lot outside. In the summer it can also be muggy and hot. Where I live, you could say it's peramantly covered by clouds because it rains so much.

I'm at the very southern area, right across the river from Portland, Oregon.

Yup. It's nice and mild in the bay area, usually in the 70's or 80's if there's no nasty heat wave. Don't get me wrong though, the northwest has those nasty things too.

Which reminds me, why does everyone who hasn't learned much about CA suppose it's tropical everywhere? It's not Florida.

Ah. Do you ever go to Powell's bookstore?

*Sigh* I'm looking forward to warm weather.

They haven't seen the mountains, probably.

I love Powells! My sister works at saturday market too, doing carictures.

I hate hot weather.

Northern sort of, I think. A wet part, anyway.

They have great summer weather in California. Except when there's a heat wave, of course.

I don't know - I guess it's the way things are portrayed in movies and stuff. I'm not entirely sure where California is anyway. Does it have something to do with Hollywood?

Hollywood is a part of LA. And California is on the WEST coast.

edit: I accidently said east coast.

Woah... you know a lot! I remember you saying you're a geography nerd

I see!

I like nasty, cold weather. I loved it when it snowed in the Northern Hemisphere

We have a few skiing places down here, I'd love to go one day.

Powell's, the place where one can find any book she could ever want... if she knows where to look.

No other bookstore shall ever compare in pure amazingness.

Yup - I didn't actually notice, if you say east coast, and I have a vague idea where California is, my brain will automatically switch it around and make California east and the eastern states west
