"Sure," she said, licking her chops.

He passed the last bit over to her and looked around

She licked her chops again, revealing two pearly white fangs. IbisPaw sank them deep into the rabbit and gobbled it up quickly.

He sat, watching the sun as it dipped below the horizon.

''ok!'' she said happily gnawing on the leg

Lark folded her paws and laid her head on them. She stared into the distance. She felt there was something missing within her. Her eyes closed and she slipped into the world of dreams. And thus, she began her search.

(this is from larks perspective)

I was standing on a wide open plain, covered in snow. Light snowflakes were falling around me. I started foreward into the snow. I began to search, for what I had no idea. I ran through the snow. Suddenly the plain became a dark forest. The snow swirled in the air, falling faster now. I searched everything, but there was nothing there. I started running. The forest became a frozen lake. I slid onto it and slipped through the ice. The icy water was cold, so cold. a dark shadow came towards me in the water. Everything went black. I awoke freezing cold. I lay still on the ground. The search had begun.

From behind a bush, a lone red-furred she-wolf crouched. She watched Lark and Falcon leave for their hunt. She shook her coat and stood up, carefully looking around for other wolves before slipping towards the Food Cave. Seeing nobody, she slipped inside and quickly pilfered a fresh grouse. Hoping nobody would see her, or notice the missing meat, Shadeheart snuck from the mouth of the cave and dashed quickly off into the woods. Far from the camp now, she whooped a little happily. Her pups would eat well tonight.

Shadeheart trotted through the woods at a quick pace, oblivious to her being followed. The sun was going down and she knew she had to be home before dark, or her pups might worry. She walked a long time through the forest, over hills and rocks and fallen trees. She came to an abandoned bungalow. The roof was caving in and trees were growing up through the middle of what had once been the kitchen. She dropped her grouse and called out to her pups.

"Mama!" They cried, bounding out of the shack and coming to nuzzle her face. There were two of them. One, the she-pup, was silver-coated and catlike. The other was a he-wolf, red-furred like his mother.

"I thought you would never come home." The silver pup lamented as she licked her mother's face.

"Don't say such things, Rain." Shadeheart admonished, "I will always come home to you."

"I saw a weasel today!" The red pup boasted, puffing out his chest. "I chased him into the forest!"

"You are a very brave young he-wolf, Robin." Shadeheart praised, "Now eat, you two, before the vultures get it."

The two pups happily dug into their meal. Shadeheart lay down a ways away, eating nothing herself. It would be another long night.
