Crane looked around, whining slightly, remembering Jake tormenting her before the strange wolf appeared. Her paw was good enough to walk on, but not to run. She licked it a few times, glancin around nervously.

" I wish to join your pack" Zelda said, wagging her tail slightly.

Crane growled, turning different ways to try and see them all.

Zelda's extreme submissiveness made it obvious. " The lowest " she said, her eyes lowered.

She yelped and scrabbled the ground, trying to regain her balance. She tried to dash out, but her front legs slipped from under her. Jake was behind her, so she immediately got up.
