!¡ Yolk Seeping from Fertile Egg¡!

Somehow my fertile egg has been cracked open about the size of a very small pea. Yolk was seeping out of it from the air cell side. The chick was due to hatch within 2 days. I've already put scotch tape over the hole but is there anything else I should do? Does the chick stand a chance?:/ I'm sad

Unfortunately, I believe once the shell breaks, the chick inside the egg dies. I really hope the egg makes it, but I wouldn't keep my hopes up... Sorry :/

Thank you for the response. I plan to candle the egg tomorrow to check for movement:/ but I'm not feeling good vibes unfortunately:/

It ended up being a quitter so all it was was messy yolk inside. I'm so relieved.:}
