I'm gonna hit them. I don't remember but I think I turned my head to the side because I couldn't hear out of one side for a few mins after. one of the kids slid the door open in the back which I freaked out because we were on the highway. yelled at them to shut the door, realized the car was full of smoke and rolled down all the windows. (somewhere in there my brain said that the air bags had gone off. and I had put the van in park though my foot was still on the brake pedal.) I used to drive standard and trained myself to drive with my left foot under the seat so I wouldn't accidentally slam on the brakes looking for the clutch when I switched to automatic. which eventually turned into my left foot sideways toes pointed toward the door in the middle of the seat. I didn't know there are now airbags under the steering wheel and it hit my left leg side on, and my right leg across the top. couldn't drive for a while after that. And my hands are shaking writing it. and it wasn't even that bad of an accident. considering what it could have been.

Janet climbed into the chopper and took a seat beside Barnes in the front, leaving Crow to have to sit by Char. As they lifted off, trees began to sway, and leaves branches flew off in every direction. The engine sped up even more, and the craft wobbled into the air. "It's a miracle!" Barnes said.
