"Um, I guess they are kinda pointless." Toby said & laughed nervously. He put them back in his backpack. "Oh. You probably wouldn't know me. I'm a part time janitor. My names Toby." He said and gave a small smile. "Nice to meet you…?" He paused, waiting for her to introduce herself.
My grin spreads, dispite my best efforts and the way it irritates my swollen nose. "Delilah." I said. 'Nice to meet you?' So proper! I think. "So, uh... you work as custodian. Is that at the highschool right close? Richmond ThunderHorses?" I said as we neared the door.

Sherri Lastless was drowning. Suffocating. Out of air. Deprived of oxygen. Her vision was blacked out, spots in her head, her lungs felt as though they were caving in, a heavy weight on top. Her face felt hot. Rumbles and spasms pulsed through her delicate body.
Is this what it feels like to die? she wondered, struggling.
Amber, her cat, gave her a critical look. She stared right over the bridge of Sherri's nose, obstructing all of Sherri's air passages completely. She reduced the intensity of her purring.
Need... air.... thought Sherri, finally pushing the fluffy deadweight off her chest and taking in glorious breaths of oxygen.
Amber gave her a dirty look. I'm not that fat. In fact, Sherri made sure all three of her cats were kept to a healthy weight, but when you are oxygen deprived, that tiny fact doesn't matter much anymore.
Sherri glared at the red tabby cat and peeled herself out of bed.
But she really just wanted to pick Amber back up and cuddled her until it stopped raining.
Need... kitty...
Still, even a rainy day cannot turn a face down who looks on the sunny side, and soon she was dressed fashionably in jeggings and a tight lavender shirt with a pink scarf and straw sunhat, which folded over her ears perfectly, in direct denial of the rain outside.
She picked up her phone, it's case decorated with sparkly pink sequins, reflecting her attitude like granola reflects yogurt, or whatever the proper verb was, well anyways yogurt and granola is what she planned to eat for breakfast.
But then she remembered pancakes... dripping with maple syrup, yummy chocolate chips. She craved pancakes right now.
She turned off her phone after one last peek at her timeline on PicFlip, the latest social media network for teens, and pulled out a hairbrush, vigorously brushing, ripping out a couple of hairs in the process. Then she brushed some makeup on, and looked stunning, if any of the high school boys had been queried.
Her parents had already left for work, she knew, and had a note sending her mother's love on the counter to prove it.
She had woken up pretty late, typical of someone who avoided mornings like the plague.
But it was a weekend morning, and those were different. She was glad she worked school days.
Sherri tucked herself into a cool looking compact car, wincing as she sat on her tail, before realising the pancake place was just down the street. Putting her cross country training to the test, she ran down the road to the building, dodging the rain with futile effort.
She raised an eyebrow at the mess of teenagers near the building. (Edited. Still not relevant enough)

Alice spotted Sherri running up the sidewalk.

"Hey, relax!" She yelled. "I'm sure there's some pancakes left for you."

"Oh, good, I was so worried," said Sherri, though her face showed she wasn't. She was starting to get soaked, but didn't stop gawking. She gestured widely with a hand, showing what she was most concerned with. "Ummm, what's going on here?"
Her face contorted more.
"Why are there so many people I know. What did I miss?" (Gtg)

+(*has a bajillion people to reply to but only replies to two*))

Gage blinked. "Oh, I'm sorry-" he started, but the people he had asked to leave were already talking over him, Bleddyn was getting fired up again, and things were spiraling out of control.
That was, until Misty came in.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Tissues? In the rain?" I said, looking over my shoulder. The entire box started getting wet with fat drops of rain. It was only then that I managed to look him in the face. Those eyes... indego? Violet, even....

I still felt sorry for myself, more stupid and shameful than any time I could remember, but he made me think. Maybe I could apologise. Its not like I could sink any lower, and besides, the cold and the rain was getting to me. "I uh, haven't seen you at school. What's you're name?" I ask, taking the tissues and starting back inside.

Misty completely ignores her daughter talking to Toby, and steps inside the pancake house, her tired eyes darting all around at the mess. She sighs and walks up to her husband, she kisses his cheek quickly and then motions to the mess.
"Let me guess who caused this-"

Zion runs up to his mother and tackle hugs her, holding her tightly.

Misty embraces her son tightly, patting him on the back her eyes still trained on Gage.

Zion then pulls away from his mother, "Delilah caused this," he murmurs.

Misty sighs, "Of course she did." She then turns to all the customers who were involved in the situation, Many of which she recognized. "Ya'll better get your act together. This isn't how we act, we're normal citizens. Now act like it," she says firmly then walks over to the workers and fervently apologizes.

Zion walks past his mother and father and sticks his head out the door of the restaurant, listening in on Tobi and Delilah's conversation.

(Fanci and Frankie you two can talk it out with them and then Zion can step in when you want, eventually Misty is going to scold Delilah though so XD)

Some customers had left hurriedly during the fight, and now the Morning Rush had come to an early lull. "You're back early." Gage said. Most of the group had filtered out, and he took the opportunity to lift the hair from Misty's neck, bury his face in it, and planted a big, slobbery PBBBT which sounded more like a huge fart than anything.

"Delilah. That's a pretty name. Don't take it personally if I forget it within the next 20 minutes. I'm bad with names" Toby said, then stared blankly at her when she mentioned a custodian. "I'm gonna sound really stupid, but what's a custodian?" When they got to the door he opened it for her, & waited for her to enter.

I stifled a giggle, then caught myself. Quit being an idiot, I thought. "That's okay, I may have forgotten your name already, too...." I bit my lip as he held the door open. It was just a small gesture, so why was it so cute? No. Stop. You're being an idiot again. That's what got us into this situation, let's fix the first stupid before we go onto another.

Once inside, I shake my head, partly to clear it, and partly because it was drenched. Hair and water droplets whipped all over the place. Then I remembered his question that I hadn't even heard the first time because of door. Pfft. 'Because of door.' You're a true idiot, Delilah.
"Oh, a um. A custodian is a janitor, I think. Just a fancier way of saying it."

"Oh, I thought it was some kind of thing involving little kids, and I kinda panicked." Toby said jokingly.
"This is Alpha." He pointed at his dog. "Wow, that was random." He said, talking about introducing Alpha.
