Please urgent help, how could new castle do this😭

Avian influenza is nasty business, sorry for your losses. As a precaution I'd also do some extra disinfection of your home as well as if it is avian influenza, humans can occasionally get it as well. Here's hoping your next flock is strong and healthy!
Really!! I didn't know that
And I've been handling them bear handed

I don't think it's too too common and might depend on the strain so you're probably fine, but it's one of those better to be safe than sorry things

Im ashamed to say this but I disobeyed the vet😭😭
I know he said it'd be best to put the remaining bird's down cus they would become victims of the virus but I could not just bring myself to killing perfectly healthy bird's that aren't sick yet

The remaining 4(mother, son and 2 daughter) are perfectly fine, eating drinking and pooing healthyly
Even mum has been laying for 3 days now I couldn't bring myself to put her down on the count of she's the families favourite

We hatched her and 3 other siblings 2yrs ago and she was the only one to survive the night their enclosure was raided by brown rats now she and 3 of her kids are the only survivals from this and the family wants her to leave up to her name(survival) by living through this
Was I wrong?

:(

Just contacted the vet and he said the virus can't be contained anymore and I should utinize the remaining 4 bird's cus they are likely carriers
Here's the thing. Wild birds that come into your yard and around your birds are picking up the infection and spreading it everywhere they go. They are spreading this to other people's chickens, ducks, etc. It will continue to spread. We understand you don't want to destroy your birds. Here in America whole flocks have been destroyed to keep it from spreading. Some day you will be able to have birds again. But it would be best if you can do the right thing now to protect other people's birds. Don't you wish that person who sold your dad a sick bird had done the right thing?
:hugs
