*°Hell as White as Snow°* (A Role Play)

(Can I just point out that she's 10 years older than he, and that's not even including the year difference when they were frozen? XD)

Janette was doing her best to make small talk, but being a quiet, not so social person, it was rather difficult. Finally, she could stand it no longer. It was either deep stuff or no stuff, so she decided to just dive in. "This may seem an odd question, but I'm just wondering, how old are the two of you?" She asked hesitantly.

Madeleine chuckled softly. It was indeed odd, but if this woman was heading where she thought she was, it would make sense soon. "J'ai vingt-six ans," she said.

During their chatting, Janette had quickly realized that language was going to be a minor barrier. Thankfully, she knew some basic French from school, and with Madeleine's broken English, they were able to manage conversation.

Ian looked confusedly at her, but answered anway. "Twenty-eight."

Janette made a mental note. Next question. "What was—" no. She paused. A different question first, just to clarify things. "Are you two a couple?" She asked, curious.

Ian was tempted to say yes, as a joke, but Janette's attitude was all serious so he refrained. "Ah, no. She just happened to stumble across my path and then we stumbled here together," he explained reasonably.

(What how old is Nora? Make a Lab character in Child at Heart and we'll have a romance ther instead lol)
(I was just joking, nah Nora and Gjoran I figured would just be close friends. Nora is 29. I am working on my child at heart character but I was going to make her at the school, but to be honest I am so confused on what's going on in that game I don't know which place I should put her in. lol)

Nora was happy to have a good friend in this messed up new world. She went back over to the fire and dished out some food to Ian and Madeleine. She listened as Janette grilled the newcomers. As she listened she realized she was going to have a little bit of a language barrier between her and Madeleine. So instead she turned to Ian with a question. "I don't supposed you noticed any animals while you were out there? I haven't seen any and its a bit concerning, I am wondering if any survived all of this." Nora asked curiously.

Madeleine chuckled at Janette's question. She caught the hesitation in Ian's reply, which made her all the more amused.

Ian shook his head. "No, just Madeleine and the others," he said sadly. "But I think we've got a blizzard coming on, so the animals would be smart to find shelter if they're out there."

Janette fiddled impatiently with the edge of her blanket. When Ian's attention was once more gained, she asked, "What was the last thing you recall?"

Ian thought about it for a moment before replying. "I was in a field of poppies, I think. And then I wasn't. Just ice, all around."

That didn't answer the question that was nagging at the back of her mind. Janette cleared her throat, then asked, "What was the day?"

"Oh." Ian glanced down at Madeleine, who had seated herself by the fire. They had already briefly had this discussion and were aware of the time difference, though they hadn't discussed the actual years. "It was April, 2752."

Nora coughed a bit choking on her own saliva and air when she heard the year Ian was from. She was still trying to wrap her head around the whole different times thing. How was this all possible she thought to herself.
