*°Hell as White as Snow°* (A Role Play)

Nora passed a plate to Gjoran and then sat down across the fire from Janette with her own plate. She was grateful for Janette's offer to listen although she supposed it was probably also for her benefit too. She wasn't sure if talking about her past life would help or just make it harder for her to move on. "I appreciate the offer, but for right now I think I will pass on talking to much about my past. Right now its still a bit to fresh and I think I just need to look to the future, however bleak it may seem."
Janette nodded in compliance and began eating her food.

Ian, noticing Madeleine shivering with the cold, held out his jacket to her. Words were nearly useless with the wind blowing loudly around them, so she simply nodded her thanks and accepted the offer. She slipped her arms in and pulled the collar up around her bare neck as they walked. They were nearing the shadowy boulders that Ian was sure was a cave now.

Nigel's slumber was disturbed by the biting cold nipping at his exposed skin. As he gradually gained consciousness, Nigel's thoughts and memories came rushing back to him. He suddenly snapped up right with a yell, as his final memory of going over the top hit him like a ton of bricks. Panting heavily, he looked around seeing only unending blankets of snow. Snow? But wasn't it September? Why would there be snow at the Marne in September? As he shook the slumber from his head, more questioned rushed to him. Where was he? Where were his comrades in arms? Was he spared of the horrors of war? A sense of relief rushed over him followed by immense guilt for surviving. His thoughts were interrupted by shivering, changing his train of thought to finding out what happened. He checked his current belongings to figure his options. Picking his Lee Enfield rifle up, Nigel was disappointed to find the bolt seized shut with rust, turning his rifle into an expensive club. Fortunately, his knife, clothing, and foot ware were in decent shape, which was a start. Nigel willed himself to stand, wobbling nearly uncontrollably, but managing to catch his balance. With a last look at his once trusty rifle, Nigel hobbled into the snow in no particular direction.

(My DH decided to join us after all! its his first Role play, it took him so long to type out his first post I am so proud of him! :love)

(You two crack me up
It's a pleasure to have you both.)
:lau
I'm glad you enjoy it! It was so cute he sat down and said so how do I start. And I looked at him like what do you mean how, you just post. And he was like I've never done a role playing game before do I just wake up or what? I gave him some pointers and he did the rest, I think he did a good job. Totally off topic but have your eggs hatched yet?)

(bummer, that's weird that one is gone. :hmm That is too funny you didn't even know if they were fertile , lol. To be honest I probably would have done the same thing, especially with how much my roos mate they better be fertile.)

(Yeah, I dug around the nest a little but I still didn't see it.
That was my thought exactly. With only two hens to one cock, I just took it for granted and didn't bother to candle them.)

As Nora ate her food quietly she noticed the weather outside had worsened and she was happy to be out of it in the safety of the cave. As she watched the snow whirl around in the wind she thought she noticed figures approaching the cave, could it be that more people were out there. Nora quietly leaned closer to Janette, "Do you see people out there in the snow or am I going crazy?" Nora asked her?
