*°Hell as White as Snow°* (A Role Play)

Nora coughed a bit choking on her own saliva and air when she heard the year Ian was from. She was still trying to wrap her head around the whole different times thing. How was this all possible she thought to herself.
Madeleine and Janette's headed turned simultaneously to stare at Ian.

"La femme I met, who we lost. Elle said it was 3001," Madeleine said softly.

Janette looked confusedly around the group of people, each from a different background and place in time. She directed her attention to Madeleine to ask, "And you?"

"2026," came her simple reply.

Nora looked to Madeleine, "3001? ok what is going on here? Are we all the sudden time travelers?" She meant the last comment more as a joke but it wasn't too far off.

"Non, je ne connais," Madeleine said slowly.

"We were preserved," Ian stated. "In ice."

"But why?" Janette asked. She left the question lingering for a minute before saying, "Nora, what was your occupation?"

Nigel trudged through the snow slowly but steadily. His leather boots and and pants were soaked through, never meant for this type of weather. He stopped for a moment to catch his breath, scanning the horizon, when he noticed small wisps of smoke. Was there someone else alive? The prospect of other people invigorated him, as he hurried along. Several minutes later, as he approached the entrance of a cave, which appeared to be the source of the smoke, he heard faint voices. Though anxious to find company, a wave of unease washed over him. Are they allies or Germans? Was the war over? His right hand dropped to his knife handle, though unsure what it would accomplish. Mustering his strength, Nigel called out, "Hello? Are there British in here?"

Nora listened to the conversation a moment and jumped a little at Janette's very direct question. "Um I was a veterinarian, nothing special. Why do you think it has something to do with all this?" Nora asked curiously.

Nora heard a mans voice call out anxiously from just outside the cave. Was another person out there, why was he asking about the British? "Did you hear that? There is a man outside asking if the British are here?" Nora asked Gjoran and Janette before looking to Ian and Madeleine and asking them if they had another man with them or if this was someone different.

Ian put his hand up, signaling the rest to stay out as he headed for the mouth of the cave. He had heard the voice as well. Putting his hand to his eyes, he soon spotted the lone silhouette in the whirling snow. "We've quite the assortment," he called, clueless as to why the British were being asked for.

Janette, in her no nonsense way, now looked to Madeleine and asked, despite the possibility of a newcomer, "Occupation?"

"Un scientifique, nuclear," Madeleine replied with a shrug.

"Gjoran?" Janette looked to him.

Gjoran shrugged, but replied "Sounded like nuclear science, using some common sense." He smiled, then motioned a large boom to Madeleine with his hands, indicating that she was a nuclear scientist.

"No, I caught that, silly," Janette said. "I wanted to know your occupation."

Madeleine laughed lightly at his actions. She understood English perfectly; it was speaking it that she was still rusty on.
