*°Hell as White as Snow°* (A Role Play)

Dierk thanked Nora and took the fruit, though he only held the can and tapped its metal with his middle finger, not feeling very high in spirits at all and therefore not desiring any food, even though it would be smart to eat it.

"I know that isn't true. Maybe here, without civilization and people who've seen my face before, I can live a different life, but the place that for me still exists, and the people that I remember will always be there. That's where I committed every sin, and those who still live in that time in history will always remember each and every one." Dierk explained rather depressingly, shaking his head with a sigh.
"If I was a little boy who stole a candy bar from the local shop I could change, but after you've done what I've done and seen what I've seen there's not one more chance God would give you."

Nora listened to him, he was probably right but she had always tried to see the good in people and she was going to try to continue to do so. She had to believe that even those who may not deserve a second chance got one. "Perhaps that is true. Perhaps you don't deserve a second chance, but whether you deserve it or not you have been given one. I didn't live in Germany during your time, so I don't know your sins. But it is my history, I know what happened during the war, I know the many sins people had during that time. But still I am choosing to treat you with kindness and treat you as the man I see now not the man you were. And I do believe God gives second chances to even people like you. It gives you a chance to atone for what you have done, the wrongs you committed. That is the hard part, owning up to what you did, whom you did it too, and finding a way to live with yourself after the fact. Then finding a way to atone for those wrong doings and attempt to be a better man. Still the choice is yours, and if you need someone to listen should you want to try to be that better man and make up for your sins then I am here." She said simply and then got up to go over to Ian to plan for their outing. Dierk had many demons, and she had no idea what wrongs he may have done but she could imagine the worst. But she still had to believe that they were all put here for a reason, all given another chance. And if he wanted to wallow and be a terrible person so be it, it was his choice. But she wanted him to know that he did have a choice, whichever way he went.

Janette moved to Jade's side, curious about the quiet girl. "How long were you and he wandering out there?" She asked, giving a blunt nod towards Dierk.

( @Run Wild )
(Sorry everyone for taking such a long time to reply. I'm glad silkie mentioned me, or else I wouldn't have seen all the posts I missed.)
Jade gratefully accepted the canned food as she took seat before the fire. The cold numbed her body to the point of feeling that she could not move, so she waited until she began to feel warm again before moving to eat. She listened to the strangers opinions of their situation, not speaking her own afraid that her words would sound stupid when spoken aloud. Instead she remained quiet and listened to the conversation without interrupting it. Everyone person within the cave had immediately noticed Dierks outfit, unlike Jade who had for the past day been so focused on surviving that she didn't have time to concern herself with Dierks identity. She stopped listening to the conversation when Dierk was told details of his past, feeling it wasn't her place to overmeer what they were. Instead she directed her attention to the woman who sat beside her. "Only since I awoke the day before." She answered with a faint smile.

( :) )

"Ah. Are you feeling okay now?" Janette asked. She truthfully didn't really care to know how the girl felt, but she knew it couldn't be all business if she wanted correct information. She was desperate for details and facts of everyone's situation, no matter how minimal they may seem. Their situation was made only weirder with men of opposing sides under the same roof.

Dierk listened to Nora carefully, not commenting or interrupting like he normally would if a woman was talking, and only nodded once she had finished. He didn't feel like he could say any words at the moment that would describe how he felt, and wanted to just sit and brew over what had happened, and what he had learned. He didn't know if he would rather have been kept in the dark, or know the whole truth.

Though, he would learn of the failure of the Führer sooner or later. Because, if the system did fail, then he was sure it would have failed soon, and he would experience it more personally rather than being told about it.

"You wanna head now, or give it a little longer?" Ian asked in a hushed voice. He glanced in Madeleine's direction, then to the other women, a little concerned with leaving them.

( @HoodedHuntress what happened to your man?)

Nora mulled it over in her head a bit before answering. "We have some time yet before it is vital to leave. Main thing is I want to be on our way back here before dark. I really don't think he is going to go on a murderous rampage, but I could always be wrong. Probably best to at least wait a little longer. " She replied simply, they were already packed and ready to go. So they would be able to leave relatively quickly once they decided to go. It wouldn't hurt to wait a little longer.

"Understandable," Ian said, nodding thoughtfully. "Do you know where Gjoran went? I'd feel better if either he or I remained. Not to say I don't trust Nigel, I just don't trust him with Mr. Nazi."
