Thorntalon ruffles up her feathers and nests in the medicine den. She looks over to the rooster and says, "Sleep well my friend," and then drifts off to sleep.

(Goodnight.

Moon walked stiffly into camp, she had been in a peace meeting with the star of another clan since yesterday afternoon. It was a wandering clan now planning to settle near Wc, they we're friendly and respectful themselves but it wasn't them who worried her. They had become wanderers after their clan had been uprooted in a land dispute turned endless war several months back. Their enemy, which they did not name, had followed them to the far border of the waterfall.

She yawned and continued to the foodpile, glancing once quickly at sky and surrounding area.
Late winters last pickings were all that looked back at her from the pile, tasteless dried berries and the such but it was food. She ate her fill and began to preen, her feathers ragged from the prickles and burs on the trail.

Her once prided silver feathers were now graying, she looked sadly at them for a moment. She was growing old, she new it, her life before had taken it's toll as well.
How much longer? My legs now ache, just standing, what in war will they do? Everything seems harder than it did yesterday, how much longer dare I hold Wc? She sighed and shook out her feathers, her face a blank mask, she walked towards the river to wash.

Thorntalon got up and stretched. She looked over to the rooster. He was still sleeping, but he looked healthier, he even opened his eyes a little bit. Thorntalon changed his dressings on his wounds, first added some sap over the cuts, then put some lichen on it, and then tied some grass over it. While doing this, the rooster twitched a little.
