She began combing the powder through the rest of his feathers. "There ya go, it should make some difference once it's been in for a while."

Moon's hardened brown eyes trailed over Wc, glancing at the river and the swan back to the sleeping tree.
It is for the best, she told herself, it is for the best. My time is over, my story all but used up.
She slowly walked down towards moss rock, her head bent slightly, a mixed half smile on her face.
She really wasn't sure if it was for the best or what, but once her mind was made up, she wouldn't back out.
