"I see it," Gray said, walking over to the door. He gave a stern knock. "So, Mr. Beaks lives here. He was here on the night of the crime, but he said he didn't hear, or see, anything. Suspicious, right? So we'll just question him about where he was, what he was doing, etc. and see how he reacts."
