Once he was in, the guy closed the door then got into the driver's seat and started the van, having to put the gun in his lap to drive.

Lucas immediately started to look for a means of escape. He had to get out, he had to save Bella.

Yuki laughed, she reached the tide. That water was cool and calm. Yuki waded into the water. "Come on! PHELI! LIS!"

Pheli ran into the water and doggy-paddled out to Yuki.

There wasn't much back there, though there was a sharp piece of metal under the seat. It was small and had been overlooked the last time the van had been cleaned out.

Lucas reached under the seat and grabbed the little shard of metal. He began to cut a piece of rope that bound his hands together.

Andorra looked over at the police cars and put her gun away, to flag them down. "Hang in there Gray. Help is here." She said as she got up.

The driver was headed away from the main part of the city, out into the still forested part of the island

Gray struggled to his feet and, using his good arm, waved the cars over.

The cars pulled over, an officer got out of one of the cars. He ran over to Andorra and Gray. "Officer Cutter, Officer Gideon, are you alright? We saw the car. You weren't kidding when you said it was busted up. Anyway, there's a ambulance on the way. They can patch you up."

Gray nodded, he then glanced at Andorra and grinned.
