Marina hopes to be able to get her opponent to the ground, they may be fast flier, but they aren't very good at walking.

Anien barely dodged a vicious claw to his face. He smashed his powerful tail into the ribs, surprising the Stiff, and then he twisted around its beak and clawed his eyes. The Stiff screeched in pain, and Anien finished the beast off. He charged toward the next two opponents.

He wasn't so lucky this time, Stiffs were bigger and more monstrous than any animal in Almiah. One Stiff managed to claw him on the arm and chest, but Anien grabbed his head and threw the Stiff at another one. The hit each other with strong force, and they went spiraling toward the ocean. A Stiff grabbed his tail while he was watching the two plunge into the water. Anien had a quick panic as he twisted around and tried to stab the foe with his beak. Tamina smashed into his opponent, and she nodded a thanks to her.
 
Marina was battling a large stiff with cold beady eyes. Focus. Dont try to examine him. You dont want to know who this is. Spinning she hit the stiff in the face with her long tail, momentarily blinding him. In that slight pause, marina was able to finish him, sending him crashing down into the waves.
 
"Well...at least he isn't getting himself killed." Remembering the stiff he had left behind, Marina turned just in time to dodge the stiff's heavy blow. Diving dowN, Marina landed back on the beach. Here she would be able to end this faster than if she was in the air. The stiff landed heavily on the ground. Stumbling towards Marina, the stiff tripped over his large feet. Crying out in a fit of rage, the stiff launched himself at his opponent. Marina stepped out of the way of his w claws and turned to claw him. With a painful, bloody cut slicing all the way down his side, the stiff tried to fly off. Marina quickly knocked him down and finished it. (question: Are they don't fighting)
