'Well, it's an idea. It doesn't hurt to try,' Laine said, heading over. 'I don't see any other wires in the wing though, so I don't see where they could connect. Are we missing MORE parts?' Her eyes widened.

"Probably!" She joked. "The complexities of these things amaze me. I'm sure we're missing something..."

Laine laughed too, frowning. 'I thought it was so obvious... it sure looked like it, but perhaps those humans have more brains festering in there than I banked on.'

Snowfeather looked at the debris from the crash "I think you'll be missing A LOT of parts" She said

Laine pointed to a part by her feet. 'Like this, it's totally wrecked. A lot of this stuff has been burned beyond recovery.'

Pearl shook her head, a bit disappointed to see some burned parts. "Wait a minute..." She said. "Some of this might be salvaged, look!" She took some parts and rubbed them against her feathers, removing some of the soot and tarnish. It left behind a big, black mark on her chest, but it significantly cleaned the metal.

Laine frowned. 'You're right. I don't know how this can work... but perhaps we could do it like a jigsaw puzzle? Put everything that we can together, and then if - and I hope not - another plane comes down, we can slot in any parts we're missing.'
