'yes, I second that!' Laine agreed.

'I saw the plane coming down the other day,' Laine said to Snowfeather. 'The wings don't move, but there's something loud they stick on the wing that makes loud noises and blasts air out the back of it. i think that's what we're missing!' She looked back to the hole under the wing.

"Strange things humans build..." She said, almost to herself

"Hmm..." Pearl said to herself, looking around. What's that? SHe thought as a small glimmer caught her eye. "Hey, is this it?" She called out, pointing to a large, bullet-shaped object with a hole on one end. She rolled it over to where everyone could see it.

Snowfeather looked curiously at it "The humans ways are alien to me" She said

Laine shrugged. 'Well, being from the city, I've seen many planes fly past above us, so I am pretty used to the things. It looks like we're closer to the city here than I thought! i thought I'd come quite a ways out.'

Pearl rolled the object closer to the wing. "It looks like a match to me." She said.

Laine looked at it in surprise. 'Why! i can't believe I never saw that!' She examined the open end, where a number of cracked blades could be seen, some hanging loose. A mass of wires seethed out of the other end.

'quite a terrifying sight, don't you think?'

"Yes..." She muttered rather nervously. "I think those colorful wires act like the vines, keeping it together?" She shrugged. "Just guessing."
