'Ah! It was one of Fogstar's instruments she has stored over... there.' Laine pointed. 'A rocket launcher of some sort.'

"Too many twoleg things here" She muttered

'It's okay, Snowfeather,' Laine said. 'I don't think they even know we exist. As long as they stay off OUR island, we should be okay.'

Laine wandered around, cleaning the engine that Pearl had found, waiting for her to arrive because she was obviously more skilled at it than Laine was.

'Pretty well, if I do say so myself.' She pointed towards a large heap of metal that didn't seem to look like anything in particular, and laughed. 'Well, I'm having a bit of trouble getting all the parts to stay together, and some have been bent in the crash.'

"Bent, hmm?" She said as she examined the shrapnel, "Perhaps, we can shape it back... somehow..." She said, thinking. She picked up a rather heavy stone, that was long and narrow. She gently hit it against the metal, and it's weight pushed some of the metal back into place. "This seems to be working, somewhat!"

Laine picked up her own pebble and gently pressed it into all th dents, which gradually smoothed themselves out.
'I'm sure we'd end up mechanics if we were reincarnated as humans,' Laine said sarcastically, fitting the piece perfectly into place and smiling.

'There are lots of them, aren't there? Quite an intelligent species, I gather. They should learn to make something quieter though, those planes flying final over here make quite a racket, I can understand why some of the others find it a bother. But I guess I'm used to it.'

Laine started trying to think up ways to make glue.

A roar started to approach from over the next mountain. It was a cloudly day, and the plane appeared to be flying much lower than usual...
