Hailey morphed, and bounded after him. She snarled, "I can hear you"

Clouds collected like pieces to a quilt, fitting together so seamlessly that they shrouded the stars behind them. The moon shone ever brightly, filtering eerily through the leaves of the conifer forest's canopy, glinting fiercely off of the yellow-green eyes that gazed longingly at the Vampires as they chattered with such folly and heedlessness, unaware of what went on outside the warmth and safety of shelter.

The warm tones of oranges and yellows from their candlelit rooms reflected on two dark countenances, revealing the smirk that lingered just on the corner of their mouths.

The larger of the two other shapes growled.

Qamar walked from the other vampires and into the shadows of the night, finding herself a small space within the forest to sit under the moonlight and meditate.

A reddish blur darted off, not stirring a single leaf with his light, swift feet. A large, shapeless black silhouette followed it like a shadow.
