It was clear that she was close to death. The mare's delicate mane was now ripped and her small tail hung on by just a thread,causing her to look more dead than alive. Her breathing stopped entirely after a while,her body turning lifeless and cold.

"Ooh, crud," he muttered, checking her pulse for the slightest sign of life.
