I want to get one of the Brinsea “Ovation 28 Egg EX” or the “Maxi II EX 14 Egg“ Regardless of the obvious that the Ovation can hatch twice the amount of eggs, are the other features between the two make one more desirable than the other?

The Ovation allows the eggs to positioned with the pointed end down and I guess rocks them side to side? Where as the Maxi II seems to lay the eggs on their side and roll them back and forth?

Does the internal volume of the Ovation, space above the eggs provide additional circulation?

I assume they both have similar electronics?

Thanks, I appreciate your time,
Robert

Looking for what the warranty is on the Incuview?

How important is humidity control? I leave the house at 6am and don't get home until 6pm or later, seems like the humidity control of the Brinsea would be appealing?

It's a one year, no hassles, guarantee. If anything breaks or needs replacing, they will send you a replacement part, free of charge. The customer service is outstanding. I only check the humidity once or twice a day. I've even forgotten to check it several days in a row and still had great hatch rates. The outer tray filled up, will hold the humidity at about 40 to 45 for a few days before it needs refilling.

I own a brinsea ovation 56 ex and love it! I have run 4 batches through it and enjoy its ability to hold the temp rock steady. (Side note always have a calibrated thermometer or two in the bator to double check no mator the brand) I also like being able to set the humidity to what I want it and not have to worry about if I added too much water or too little, I have another bator that seems to have two setting for humidity 50% or 65+ nothing lower or in between, very discouraging. Like with any bator you have to play with your local conditions to get the best results, it's recommended to start with local eggs so that your obstacles are limited. I know nothing about the other one..... sorry. I think you are on the right track to look for a bator that the company is willing to back (in all fairness the incuview has good reviews from folks here). My only other recommendation is to buy from an authorized dealer or store so that you are able to register your unit and get them to honor the warranty. I bought mine for a great price on ebay..... upon a second look it was from an individual so I don't get the warranty, but parts are available and their customer service is great so no complaints.

Brinsea are really fussy about honoring warranties. There are plenty of stories about customers getting the runaround from them. Incuview is much better in that respect. Doesn't matter who you buy their incubators from, Incubator Warehouse will back their product 100%. All you need is to tell them where you purchased from and the invoice number, and they will honor their warranty no matter what happens to your incubator. No registering required.

But if you had bought it from a person off of Craigslist let's say I bet they would be the same and consider it second hand...... I am still happy with my brinsea.
