Kate curled up and tried to go to sleep, but she couldn't. Finally, she stood up, and walked silently out of camp. The moonlight glittered through the trees that stood like soldiers above her. Kate stepped up to the river's edge, and looked across. Something rustled in the trees on the other side. A small deer came out, chewing on something that looked like grass. It froze as it saw her, and sprang away. Kate didn't move, and remain silent, looking ahead of her. Her ears twitched as the cracking of dry leaves came from some distance off. The night was still. A cold wind blew against her, and she shivered. All was still.

Koray was up in a tree, "Hey." he smiled.
