There was a light rustling in the bushes. Spots, ocelli, and rosettes bounced in the fields as the slender bodies that wore them gracefully wound themselves through the brush. The crept into a thicket and stopped, speaking in hushed tones.
"Makena, you go to the back with Baako. Chipo, stay here with me." one whispered, the other cats nodded briskly before departing from the hunt leader. The group slinked out of the bushes and bolted like lightning to the fray of a bustling herd of Wildebeest. Makena, being the ambitious young cat he was, laid an unbroken gaze on the lead stallion of the herd. The beast towered above him, but this was not enough to intimidate a cat with such folly; and an as of yet undismayed ego.
He made a graceful leap and flew into the air with his claws extended and outspread. Sinking them into the back of the unsuspecting stallion, he gritted his ivory fangs as the beast thrashed him about, only making the wounds larger and deeper.
Baako, seeing as the stallion was distracted, charged head-first and rocketed upward to give the killing bite. Sinking his deadly fangs into it's neck, it's pain soon dissipated, all went to black, and it died a quick death.
"Well done, boys!" exclaimed Chipo, a broad grin on the corners of her mouth as she padded over, "Come come, we have to feed the kits."

Leyona heard, far away in the distance, the sound of paws hitting the ground hard. She disregarded it and went back to looking at the stars.
