The waving sea of grass exploded and Milo reacted a second late.
Another Lion which looked to be roughly Milo's size if not larger, was on top of him, jaws snapping wildly. Milo kicked and rolled as it locked onto his front paw. Then yelling in pain he glanced Ada, "Runn!!!"

Adayna ran, fast and hard away. she stopped a half mile away and slowly crept back silently.

The lions fought, Milo holding his ground while the invader circled, both snarling.

Adayna burst back into the clearing and leapt on top of the lion, digging her claws into him. She bit at his neck, and raked her claws against him.
