My Khaki Campbell is all GREEN? He's only 4 weeks old and I bought him at a day old from a small farm, but I don't understand why he's green. Has anyone ever had a green duckling of any breed? I was under the impression that Khaki Campbells don't have any green, until they are a few months old, then maybe they might have a green head if they are a male, but usually their head is brown. There's nothing about Khaki's having green anywhere on the rest of their body. I can't even find anything about an all green duck that even exists. He's just now getting his first feathers, but every single feather is green. Head, wings, butt, chest... all green. Is this normal for a duckling? Or is something wrong with him???? )-:

Pictures might help....

WOW!! @ "WENDELD" Thank you soooo much!!! I just googled all of that, and it looks exactly like him! This makes soooo much sense lol. I called that lady who sold them to me and she insisted that it was a Khaki Campbell, and all I saw on her farm were Khaki's, Rouen/Mallard, Pekins, and Runners... But maybe I missed one of these Cayuga's? I've never heard of them before, but that's exactly how he looks at 4 weeks!! I will upload a pic in a few mins to show you him.

My camera lighting is bad, but all of the dark spots are green and his first feathers, best seen in the daylight. And the light spots are the left over, baby fluff.

I found the feather came in on the tummy/chest first. Maybe it is the lighting but he still.looks.like it maybe be a khaki to me but hard to tell.color.from the picture i just remember what my khakis looked like and its the same as the picture

Yes, but is it possible for Khaki's to be green all over, especially at such a young age? Yes, it is bad lighting, but it is unmistakably green in the sunlight. I've verified this with others too, because I thought I was seeing things.
