I got back a little while ago from helping someone butcher her extra boys. She'd never done it before, so we talked for a while, and gradually worked up to it. She can do it now, but the first one is hard.

One of my hens is broody again, too -- the Japanese Bantam, Hrutka, same as before.
Apparently, she is now activated by touch. I can wave my hand around with not reaction aside from a slight puffing, but she boots up if I poke her. She has a very angry start-up sound, unlike my computer's totally chill one.
