What are they per the Old Man's definitions?
I never even thought of eating dog food.As a child you probably ate dog food. Chicken food is no different![]()
The only way to really know is to try normal chicken feed, then fermented and compare.Someone asked whether fermenting made chicken feed taste better (the chickens act like it does), so I tasted a tiny-bit. Tastes like whole grain bread dough to me. Quite nice, really. Who knew?
Dog food is higher protein than most poultry feed—28% in our puppy's food. Also the better sorts contain animal (not soy) protein. That's what we eat meat for (physiologically speaking). Animals we eat take lower-grade nutrients and do something we often cannot do; convert things like grass into high-quality, easily-digested protein. Obviously humans can be healthy as vegans, but it's a lot more work to do that, plus not feasible on a large scale. Even vegans need us to raise livestock so that sufficient pulse can be grown from the fertility generated by the wastes produced by livestock.Well the chicks had to have eaten chicken food, so if you are what you eat and they ate chicken food that makes them chicken food, so then you put them in dog food then that means that dog food contains chicken food so they can’t be very different!
Plus, one less squirrel...Squirrel tastes great.![]()
I might try that after my new house is built. I'm planning on having hazelnuts growing. If I have to fight too many squirrels they might end up as part of my diet.Plus, one less squirrel...![]()

I've never had squirrel, but I'm willing to try it. I may end up poor in my retirement, but I don't expect to starve. It's been a while since I cooked squirrel, but right now they are hogging my bird feeders. Well fed and fat - hmmmmmmmm.
