A "pullet" is a young female chicken, just short of laying. A "hen" is a female chicken that is laying. ilovemysilkie, do you only have one chick, and one chick only? Do you have any other chickens at all?

yes my dad does. me and my mom both got a chick of our own. me:white silkie mom:mille fleur d'uccle Dad:2 barred rocks,2 white rocks,2 silver laced wyandottes,2 black Austrolorps,2 Buff Orpingtons,2 Americanas,6 Cornish Crosses,and 6 Red Ranger.
