"Maybe we will see each other at the ball," said Storm. "Until then," then he strutted off to the castle to find his mother.
 
Daffodil turned the next page of her book with anticipation. Excitement thrummed through her as the cliff hanger accelerated. *Prince James caught his dearest love just in time* she read silently. *"Oh James" Via exclaimed throwing her wings around his neck."We must hurry to the ball before the assassin gets my parents" she exclaimed*. Daffodil closed the book abruptly "mother's ball!" she cried in dismay. Daffodil blew out the red candle she had been using as light and rushed down the dusty attic stairs. The young princess had found the small haven when she stumbled on a notch in her bedroom floor. No one else knew of it existence so Daffodil used it when she didn't want to be found or read. She checked through the peephole to make sure her room was vacant. No one was there,Daffodil emerged from the staircase dusting off her play dress. She tugged on a small rope attached to a bell. Any moment a maid should come rushing into her room. *Hopefully she wont ask any questions* the princess thought, looking ruefully down at her smudged and dirty feathers.
