Parenthood Thread

We had so many people telling us we "Must" do this or "Have" to have this.
All we had to have was food, diapers, clothes, and a home. Everything else would work out
I have, somewhat funnily, found that we're the opposite. I have a chronic illness, so I'm all for conveniences that will make the little things easier and save me some energy and discomfort. People tell us we don't *need* this or that, and they're right, but being *able* to have it will be so helpful! I'm so grateful to be able to have some of those conveniences.

Oh I understand that! Im just saying we had people telling DW she had to breastfeed without understanding she couldn't due to our oldest being 2 months premie or that we had to use these type of diapers or this type of baby food. Type stuff.

Of course! And every family finds what works the very best for them. Like you said, everything else works out. :)

My SIL at the time was agast that we made our own baby food. Whatever we ate the kids ate, just pureed. DW was a dietary aide back then and new all the tricks.
